Lesson Procedure
- - - - -
1. Summarize “Born Ready” to class, showcasing the culture/s represented within it. (roughly 3 minutes)
2. Hand out note cards describing different cultures’ views of gender to the students.
3. Split them up into small groups of ~4 and instruct them to discuss the perspectives on gender from their note cards as though they are THEIR perspective on gender (in a respectful manner). (roughly 5 minutes)
4. Lead a group discussion sharing what each group learned (rest of allotted time)
5. Ask exit ticket question, do not have students respond but rather think to themselves.
